ATOM TECHNOLOGY-
Atom Technology is the latest innovation in the power electronic industry by TRUE POWER. The True Power digital square wave Z series HOME UPS is designed using high-end microcontrollers/DSP’s, which leads to the reduction in size as well as component of HOME UPS without compromising the reliability and rigidity of the system .The obsolete bulky design HOME UPS take more space having more number of components leads to the failure of the system (as more the number of components more it is prone to failure). Therefore ATOM TECHNOLOGY is far better than the bulky HOME UPS technology used in almost all HOME UPS available.

ADVANCED POWER SAVER INSIDE-
True Power in Z Series Home UPS first time uses advanced Power Saver in India. This Power Saver uses a state off art electrical technology to actively monitor and improve the Power Factor of your household/office appliances. In normal Inverter, the micro controller is resting idle after the complete charging of battery. On the other hand True Power Z Series Inverter improves the power factor of Electricity consumed with the use of micro controller and thus saves the wastage of electricity. In addition, this intelligent technology optimizes the voltage and current demands and thus reducing the active /KWH demands and achieves savings on your electricity bill. It also acts as a voltage stabilizer by storing energy up to 10 seconds and therefore supplies the load with constant voltage during momentary power surges. Thus in turn results in longer life span of Electrical Appliances.
BATTERY LIFE ENHANCER (BLE)-
BLE stands for battery life enhancer. As the name indicates it enhances the life of the battery and hence increase the reliability of the product.
Due to improper schedules of water topping (i.e. battery servicing) the Electrolyte level in the battery drops below the minimum level as during charging & discharging cycles water in the electrolyte evaporates. When the water level drops below the minimum level mark, the battery plates react with oxygen present in the air. This leads to the formation of a layer of sulphation on the plates. If it is not taken care of immediately, this layer becomes hard and acts as an insulator between the active lead material and the electrolyte of the battery. As a result of this, the life of the battery reduces and this is also the reason for most common problem of less backup. At this stage the water topping and charging cycles also cannot break this layer of sulphation.
There is one more phenomenon of deep discharge of the battery. During summer or peak load shedding (frequent power cuts) the battery never gets a chance to get fully charged. Often the charge cycles are incomplete between the discharge cycles. This repeated deep discharge sometimes also leads to sulphation on battery plates leading to the same kind of problem of less backup time and less battery life.
Normally hard sulphation is removed by charging the battery to high voltage that can damage the battery plates permanently. Also the sulphation removed from the plate does not dissolve in the active electrolyte but gets deposited at the bottom of the cells. This can cause short circuit inside the battery. It’s like “blowing house just to get rid of termites”.
Therefore to solve this problem, Battery Life Enhancer technique is introduced in Z series Home UPS by True Power. In this technique pulse waveform is offered to the battery. This distinct “pulse waveform” has a strictly controlled Rise Time, Pulse Width, Frequency, Amplitude of current and voltage. This pulse technology enables the deposited sulphates to leave the plate and convert it into active electrolyte. This special feature also helps in preventing the redeposition of sulphate on the plate.
NASA uses this technique in their space application.
BATTERY TEMPERATURE CONTROL (BTC)-
Battery Temperature Control Technique is True Power new innovation that is a new Benchmark in the industry as far as charging is concerned. With the help of this technique the temperature never exceeds beyond the standard limit of the temperature inside the battery by controlling the parameters of charging.
Chargers available in the industry are not able to control the internal temperature of the battery due to which the battery life decreases drastically. Also the ambient condition in India is not good (i.e. ambient temperature is high) so it is further important for us to control the temperature inside the battery. This technique improves the battery life by 35% and frequent water topping and maintenance hazards no longer will be there. Also with the help of this technique the water topping is required only once in nine months in ideal condition.
BATTERY EQUALIZER-
Battery equalizer is the first time feature used in India by True Power. It is the stand alone product offered by us. In multiple battery models where the number of batteries are more than one, due to ageing/mismatching/temperature conditions/change in chemical conditions/dry battery condition, batteries voltage are always different from each other. These batteries connected in series connection when put on charging will behave differently depending on the charge conditions. Therefore batteries with higher charge may get over charge while the battery which is undercharge may never get completely charge. This in turn leads to the failure of the batteries because of gassing or undercharges and overload conditions. To avoid this kind of failure battery equalizer is introduced by true power, which makes sure that multiple batteries always acquire same battery voltage. Therefore it acts as a safeguard for batteries and also assures optimum utilization.
GRAVITY PROFILE MANAGEMENT-
GRAVITY PROFILE MANAGEMENT is the latest innovation in the power industry by TRUE POWER. Due to the ageing of the battery or by long intervals of water topping the battery never reaches to the designed/required gravity profile & while charging it continues to take full charging current without reaching to the required charging voltage. This leads to further gassing and leads to worst the condition that in turns damages the battery. In this above condition the microcontroller/DSP automatically adjust the required battery voltage as well as the gravity. It avoids the unnecessary charging and damaging of the battery.
PRECISE ENGINEERING-

ZERO CROSS TRANSITION (ZCT)-
This feature is the safety precaution for thyristor. It improves the life and reliability of the product by protecting the system from dv/dt i.e. rate of change of voltage. Zero Cross Transition is a strong weapon to fight against the changing power conditions. Now a days sudden fluctuation can be seen so often, sometimes these fluctuations try to harm the reliability of the system. Also some dv/dt generated by the system itself that may cause some failure. To stop this failure ZCT i.e. Zero Cross Transition is introduced which adds to the reliability. In this condition voltage is applied to the thyristor near zero crossing so that dv/dt is minimized. Therefore ZCT will come into picture to protect the phase controlled rectifier based charger due to dv/dt. Also zero current relay switching gives better relay life.
THYRISTOR SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION (BBP)-
This is unique and very significant safety measure incorporated in Inverters by TRUE POWER. Almost all the Home UPS in the industry uses phase controlled rectification based charger (thyristor based). Due to surges, spikes & dv/dt these thyristors (scr/triac) are prone to misfire or failure (short ckt.). This misfiring or failure of the phase controlled rectifier based chargers leads to uncontrolled charging. As a result a heavy current flows under this condition in to battery because when thyristor fails, the current reaches to approximately 40-50amps under normal input AC condition. In this condition the battery may burst or may bulge. Sometimes PCB, mosfet, transformers can also get damaged.
The solution to this problem is first time introduced in India by True Power by introducing BBP (Battery Bulging Protection). When phase controlled rectifier based charger fails, the BBP (Battery Bulging Protection) comes into picture, which disconnects the path between phase controlled rectifier based charger & battery. It’s like cut off the supply to the faulty chargers which saves the battery from bulging or burst during this condition.
INPUT OUTPUT PROTECTION-
At the time of new installation of the Home UPS or some carelessness during installation of new equipments at the premises where Home UPS is already installed, sometimes input ac line get shorted with the output of the system. This problem cannot be seen when input ac is normal. But during back-up mode the input gets shorted with the output. During this condition almost all the home ups fails. But True Power Digital Square Wave Z Series Home Ups protect the system for causing a failure under this condition.
APPLIANCES FRIENDLY OUTPUT VOLTAGE –
Maximum output voltage at no load when battery is fully charged never exceeds 250V. Thus it saves appliances such as mobile chargers, adoptors, CFLs etc.
MULTI STAGE SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION-
This mode enables the system to identify any type of short circuit in a fraction of second. Therefore this defined protection increases the reliability of the product.
If average load current on the inverter increases then the system goes into short circuit shutdown mode which is with three auto reset. During auto reset if the load reduces to it normal position, the system immediately recovers back into its normal condition. In peak load protection mode which is faster than average mode, the output tends to be zero if continuous overload is there on the system and at this stage pulse by pulse blanking protection (peak protection) is there to avoid any failure. This innovative protection also saves the product in case we suddenly have a momentary overload or any load with heavy inrush current demand. Once this mode is activated it ensure pulse by pulse protection without any failure.
PEAK LOAD PEAK OUTPUT (PLPO)-
With this one feature True Power has gone well ahead than other inverter brands. The peak load handling capacity is as high as three times the running capacity of the HOME UPS for example a 500VA inverter will able to take load of 1500VA for short duration, which is to ensure that all types of equipments can operate through for designed rating. This special feature has been incorporated to ensure smooth running as some type of loads take higher currents from their designed rating while starting up. This feature solves the problem of cold start of different equipments running through. We can say that Peak Load Peak Output ensures high peak handling capacity.
YELLOW MODE-
NEURO INTELLIGENCE (YELLOW MODE) is a breakthrough in the power industry by TRUE POWER. It’s like a human brain inside the HOME UPS, which is continuously observing the load condition to the system. Whenever there is ‘no load status’, yellow mode comes into the picture with a very low discharging current which enables the conservation of battery power i.e. it reduces the no load current to one third of the rated no load current. Its main function is to reduce the output voltage which in turn increase the efficiency of the system and preserve the battery. As a result reliability and life of the inverter increases. That’s the magic of Neuro Intelligence.
GREEN MODE-
It is the first innovative idea made possible by True Power Inverter. GREEN MODE is a latest feature used to save back-up time. When the HOME UPS is running under no load condition at back up mode for more than or equal to 10hrs, it automatically shuts down the system. That means after 10 hours of operation without load, the green mode saves the power for the future. The time duration of 10hrs is given with the view that the customer will not face the situation of restarting the system at the awkward time. There is sufficient time given with a very low discharging current. During these 10 hours also the energy is conserved with the help of yellow mode operation. With the help of yellow and green mode operations the battery power is conserved effectively and the problem of deep discharging of battery is eliminated.
OPTIMISED PWM TECHNIQUE-
It’s a most advanced technique used by True Power. By using optimized PWM technique (varying the pulse), the back up time enhances with continuous monitoring of output voltage using a closed loop system irrespective of variation in battery voltages and load condition. Almost all the square wave HOME UPS in the industry are having the THD of 40%. But using the optimized PWM technique True Power digital square wave Z SERIES HOME UPS have achieved the THD as low as 28%. It improves the battery reserve capacity.
Less consumption leads to more conversion further leads to greater satisfaction to the end user. By controlling the width the output voltage is controlled. The width of the pulse is directly proportional to the output voltage i.e. if the width of the pulse increases, the output voltage increases and vice versa. This means the voltage control action of variable gain is normally accomplished by varying the pulse width to the power. This method of varying the pulses is known as Optimized PWM technique.
Also it enhances the life of the battery in comparision with the fixed width system as the efficiency of the system is improved. Due to optimized PWM technique the inverter gives 10-15% more back up.
IN A WING CHANGEOVER-
This technique comes into picture when the end user selects the UPS mode. The high frequency technique with specially programmed synchronization avoids the rebooting of the computers whenever power fails. For this innovation technique the customer can be assured of fool proof working of their computers.
